OK then. It is still beta, and the mods in the forums even state all nations may be reset when the game goes live. So, with luck, we'll all be able to switch to the same world, and make our own alliance or even continent. But, I won't be surprised to see the same issues again then as well!
I'm now getting an "internal server error, please try again later" message when I attempt to go to the site. With luck, maybe some issues will be awaiting us when it comes back up.Stonemaybe wrote:And no, I haven't got any new issues either

Still getting repeated issues - and not just ones that I have dismissed either! Though I am now thinking that perhaps it is done on purpose, because the state of your economy may affect your choices. So for example, the energy one that I previously chose the solar option for, I have now chosen the fishing one because of Inis Rua's shortage of medical supplies.
Another thing I've noticed that is affecting this... in earlier turns Inis Rua was consuming its own wine for medicinal purposes, now its consuming wine to meet food needs. (I'm thinking in the near future, this may change to 'for entertainment purposes'). I wonder if what we do affects how a product is used. With such a dire shortage of medical supplies many mothers are delivering at funeral homes to save on transportation costs

I like your reasoning, but the mods/developers say different in the forums.Stonemaybe wrote:Still getting repeated issues - and not just ones that I have dismissed either! Though I am now thinking that perhaps it is done on purpose, because the state of your economy may affect your choices.
So it appears to be on purpose, as part of the beta.In Issues with Issues, Tilt wrote:As many of you have noticed, players are beginning to receive repeat issues in their nations' Daily Issues box. This is due to two main factors:
1) We are still testing the effects of issues on the underlying nation variables, which is easier to do with a smaller issue pool.
2) The current issue selection code doesn't favor unseen issues over repeats. This should be fixed as soon as next week.
Please bear with us and keep testing even when you receive repeats. Rest assured that we have many issues written that are not yet added to the game, and we intend to keep adding new issues weekly, hopefully at a faster rate than you hungry players can respond to them

grr i wish i could get my head round this! Inis rua now has a clothing and a medical supply shortage. home produced sheep, which used to be used for clothing, are now being used for food, the wine is still being used for food instead of mediacl, and the fish that last move provoked, is being used as food too, instead of medical!
maybe i need to increase research?

I've re-read the trade FAQs and it all makes a bit more sense now. Your country uses up its own resources first and when an industry can be used for multiple purposes food trades precedence, then, if there is an excess in other countries, you can buy what your own industries don't produce enough of. I've browsed alot of other nations, looking for someone who may have excess medical or clothing, but nearly every summary shows that everyone is in the same boat. In fact, most seem worse than us!

Now how do you see that? I'm probably near the bottom at this point...Stonemaybe wrote:26th largest GDP in world 20

I'm also short transportation and clothing. Medical I seem to be doing OK in. But, at least your people are "happily full after every meal," even if the "wine snobs" have disappeared. My people are starving.

War's not enabled yet. But, something has to kick start my economy...

Up to 15th GDP in world 20 now but again now power is getting short.

Now you tell me.
I had that one about five days ago.
Ah well...
If it's repeated, I can always choose a different resolution than I chose the first time through.
