What good happened today?

Post by Worm of Despite »

Today I realized my town was now officially a metropolitan area. Which means: MORE STORES! Best of all, one of the new stores recently made was a HUGE Barnes & Noble with TONS of awesome books! I went there and saw THREE people I recognized from high school (two students and one a goofy student teacher). Anyway, saw AWESOME (did I say awesome) books and met my old friend Joe Smith! On top of that I bought Foundation by Isaac Asimov and plan to read it.

So what good happened to you today, eh?

Sounds good. Foundation kicks ass. Well...my Sox lost last night, and are playing now! So must go watch them!

Eh, a crapload, but all that matters to me is Barnes & Noble. We have like a whole new plaza where there used to be nothing.

Nothing good seems to have happened to your avatar, Foul. Where'd it go?
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Hehe I saw a great avatar recently, it was the red cross thingy (as per above), but then a little kitten climbs up and bats it to the ground. :D :D

It was great!

Since I work Sunday through Thursday second shift, today is my Friday. I will be off work and able to see my children for the next two days!!! And my husband will be taking Saturday off of work and we will be getting together with some cool people and going out to a cider mill for cider and donuts. :D :D It'll be the first time my husband, my children, and myself will have had a day together with no work for the grownups or sports for the kids since we went to visit Damelon and Chicago last summer. I can't think of a better way to spend a weekend than with my children! :D :D :D :D :D 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Well, I just gave a little speech/lecture on prerevolutionary probate anaylsis and how they illustrate wealth and economic standing during the time period. The good thing is its OVER.

I took the day off and had a great time browsing at Borders. :) Almost bought a book on photography by Ansel Adams.

hmmmmm I was thinkin of putting up "How was your day?" thread for awhile now. This will suffice.

I got stood up by my son's playgroup AGAIN. We were all meeting at a park 25min away from here. Syl was late coming home so when he did arrive I swept up the baby and drove out there. When I got there the park was closed because of hurricane damage and I just put Dante right back in the car and drove home fuming mad at the poor planning. It wouldn't be so bad but that is the third time this week someone has stood me up so my life has been in social turmoil for some time now and alot of it has to do with this flaky playgroup.

But.......there has got to be some good some where......lemme see.....OH yeah. I felt guilty that Dante didn't get to play so I gathered the spouse and went out to a huge mall we had only heard about before but saw in all it's great mall splendor today. They had a nice play area as well. It was so big I wanna go back tomorrow.(leave the check card at home of coarse. )

Um, well I did really well on my solo at rehearsal tonight. I didn't know if I could actually do it. I've never really sung in front of anybody before.

Once, I sang karaoke. I'd prefer not to discuss the details.
