Your faviurite LOTR book

Really, how can one pick? I voted ROTK because of the great snippets of tales in Appendix. After finishing LOTR and needing more, it was timely and fascinating!

Voted ROTK but I cant really separate them at all.

FOTR had amazing scenes like battle with the balrog, Council of Elrond, Boromir's death

TTT Helms Deep (Gandalf to the rescue), The Ents and the flooding of Orthanc, Shelob

but in ROTK we have the Battle Of Pelennor Fields. Eowyn kicks some serious butt slaying the Lord Of The Nazgul, Aragorn rides the Paths Of The Dead and inherits his true title of Elessar *sigh* and also the climatic destroying of the One Ring (poor Gollum)

i voted RotK too .. for lots of reasons ..

I love the whole series .. the epic adventure takes place across all 3 books .. but RotK .. is the culmination of the adventure .. where all things are sorted

FotR .. is great but a bit wordy and its a great intro to Middle EArth .. in great detail .. as TT and RotK move on .. its all action and less descriptive landscape detail .. which is cool

its all good tho' .. their all good
