The list is awesome. I am starting a reread of the first chronicles.
I noticed in my reading of the second chronicles a remarkable drop off of words in WGW. I think the hunting is far better previous to the last.
Landwaster again I commend you for taking up the bat and running with it.
An awesome resource is building.
Regards, Roynish.

Yeah, it's an unusual noun form of terse (adj.), and tersness is the more usual noun. But Donaldson wouldn't want to use the common form of the word.

Crepuscular was my favorite. It was used in Illearth War once, and then a bunch of times in Wounded Land, IIRC.

Yes, what IS it with Word Boy (SRD) and his penchant for effusive usage of preternaturally excessive verbiage? I mean I love the books, but for crying out loud would be nice to make it through a sentence without brain-splatting on a 16 syllable eye-crosser all the time.
Somebody has to ask him what it is with him and his 50 cent words at Elohimfest. And call him WordBoy when you do. I dare you.

Oh and I WILL! I'm not afraid of SRD! BRING IT ON! I'll call him WordBoy and even say Bloody Hellfire when I do! I might even pay his phone bill for him! Or bring this icebox down around his ears!
But most of all, I'll ask him why, oh why, do I have to study honors vocabulary at the Loresraat or become an Unfettered One of word-lore just to slog through two paragraphs of anything he writes???
I mean, did he fail a vocabulary test as a small child and did it scar him for life? what what WHAT WHAT?? What is it?? He KNOWS we have no clue what these words mean! He knows we're going to have to get out a dictionary and look them up!
