Which title do you like better?

This poll was coming eventually (if it hasn't all ready

, not that I can "find" though) So here it is, with options for people who don't really care about the matter, have a ball (or two). And remember kids, if you choose other, post the title you would prefer.

Shall Pass Utterly is a fragment whereas AATE stands on it's own...

...AATE is probably my second alltime fav title,

Against All Things Ending, because the original title,

"Time-Travelin', White Gold-Wieldin', Dead-Lover Resurrectin', Staff Of Law Slingin', Red Hawt Buxom Bundle of Land-Savin', Despiser-Bustin' Whoop-Ass"

wouldn't fit on the cover.

If I remember what he said correctly, he chose Shall Pass Utterly. His publishers insisted he change it...

I think he said it has grown on him over time. But his original choice was Shall Pass Utterly.

"Shall Pass Utterly". I really liked that title, and where it came from. I was sad when SRD had to change it.

"Against All Things Ending" doesn't make sense to me as a title when it's obvious that all things are going to end. If it's in the sense that they are trying to prevent all things from ending, it seems like a pretty weak title to me.

I would not choose "The Death of Linden Avery", even though I am an avid member of THOOLAH, because it puts too much focus on her (give me some TC, dammit).

Even I won't vote for the third option, although HLT might. Shall Pass Utterly is as cool as can be, even without the fact that we'd call it SPU, which is a homophone for spew.

The idea that the title AATE will manage to grab anyone's attention so strongly that, for no other reason, they'll decide to read the third book of the third series without having read any of the others, but they'll just move on when they see the title SPU... I mean, it's a ridiculous notion. Fans of TCTC are the only people who will be reading this book, and the fans want SPU.

I agree, jacob, this title is much better. TDAGD is also one of the best all time titles.

To me, "Shall Pass Utterly" just felt more like the language in the books.

The language AATE is just too mundane for these stories!

Doesn't really matter, though... I'll still read it & love it
