And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.
There is nothing more thrilling than Transfer Deadline Day. Just a few big deals gone threw and might be an interest for those playing Fantasy Football.
Not all but the big(ish) deals
Robinho - 32million to Man City.... not Chelsea
Berbatov - Manchester United but not confirmed(only matter of time)
Pavtyuchenko - Tottenham
Corluka - Tottenham
Saha - Everton
Cousin - Hull
Gonzalez - Newcastle
Xisco - Newcastle(not confirmed)
Voronin - Berlin
Finnan - Espanyol
Albert Riera - Liverpool
Non Prem(ones I know of)
Quaresma - Inter Milan
Milito - Genoa
Zigic - Santander
Kerlon - Chievo
I don't think it was a case of Man City outbidding Chelsea. Man City have got richer owners(apparently) but Chelsea are a bigger club. This was a case that Real Madrid did not want to sell to Chelsea because of the whole Robinho shirt selling thing and a matter of who is a bigger club.
Interesting to see that Man U got Berbatov, they needed him because during that Zenit match they didn't look like they were going to score. Tevez and Rooney are good but they are no Van Nistelrooy player like Berbatov can be.
Kevin 'Special K' Keegan has left Newcastle..... or has he! No one knows actually, probably know tomorrow but we know that he has not been sacked, so he has probably walked. Newcastle, best club in the world.
Yeah, the Keegan thing's crazy, I can't possibly imagine him taking charge of their next game. I reckone they want to move him upstairs and he's resisting and refusing to resign. He probably wants them to sack him to make Mike Ashley look as bad as possible in the eyes of the fans.
I'm familiar with Aluko, he was highly regarded at Birmingham and played for England U19s. He's supposed to be very strong and quick, so should score plenty once he's adjusted to first team football.
Q. Why do Communists drink herbal tea?
A. Because proper tea is theft.
Mike Ashley clearly has no clue but this seems to be a dispute about transfers but.... I can't see what is wrong with the players they brought in:
Guthrie - Good player
Gutierrez - Very good player and regular Argentine team member
Coloccini - Really good player and regular Argentine team member
Bassong
Xisco - Good player in Spain, young and has potential
I Gonzalez - Meant to be good
These are good signings but I heard that Keegan didn't get all his targets plus the board wanted to sell Barton and Keegan didn't. I would sell Barton, he is a waste of space.
EDIT: New news, Keegan has not been sacked or has left Newcastle but future still in doubt
EDIT: Instead, Alan Curbishley has left West Ham but mutual consent. Apparently he was angry about he sales of Anton Ferdinand and George McCartney. This has been on the cards for a while, despite West Ham having on the best seasons starts, beating Wigan and Blackburn, it seemed inevitable that he was either going to walk or be sacked.
So Curbishley has left West Ham but Keegan is staying, for now, at Newcastle. Wonder who will get West Ham job, imagine Croatia coach Slaven Bilic is a favourite along with Di Canio. Not many good English choices, though.
Current top 20:
1 Spain
2 Italy(how are they anywhere near the top)
3 Germany
4 Netherlands
5 Croatia
6 Brazil(not number 1 and even Croatia are above you)
7 Argentina(see Brazil)
8 Czech Republic(should be lower)
9 Portugal
10 Turkey(should be higher)
11 France(That number 1 spot seems so far away now)
12 Russia
13 Romania
14 Cameroon
15 England(ha ha ha)
16 Scotland
17 Bulgaria
18 Greece
19 Israel
20 Ghana
World cup 2010 qualifiers kick off in Europe tomorrow.
Scotland away to Macedonia, too close to call - Macedonia are no mugs, but Scotland should have just enough to at least snatch a point - hopefully three.
England away to Andorra - if they don't beat them by a couple of goals at least, England should chuck it.
Wales at home to Azerbaijan - Wales are struggling at the moment and will struggle to get a result I think.
Northern Ireland away to Slovakia - I think the Irish could get a win there.
Republic of Ireland away to Georgia - Could be a close game.

Shows how much I know
Scotland got beat 1-0 a hellish start to qualifying
England won 2-0 got booed by their own fans
Wales won 1-0
Northern Ireland got beat 2-1
Republic won 2-0
Result of the day goes to Austria, 3- 1 winners over France.
Scotland didn't show up at all, I thought. Very disappointing. ROI played well, but as always, gave away a goal in injury time. Nothing new there, mr Trappatoni. Luckily we'd scored a flukey second earlier.
Predictions for Wednesday? I fancy Croatia against England, though saying that, England do tend to raise their game slightly against better opposition. So I'm predicting (and backing ) 3-2 to the Croats.

Scotland suck, well when I watched them they did and then i watched N. Ireland and they sucked as well. 3rd match in and England also sucked but they won unlike the last two. Well done Wales.
England will probably lose to Croatia but they may also win but I doubt it.
On a side not note, Kevin Keegan has resigned from the Newcastle job. Two premierleague managers down and I imagine there will be more to come.

I am extremely p***ed off that the Republic game does not seem to be on terrestrial or satelite telly tomorrow. I even arranged to get off work early so I could catch kick-off. Grrrr.

I put £10 on Brighton to beat Man City last week in the carling cup which they did but unfortunatelly not in normal time. They were at 4-1 so Iwas a bit unlucky
A lie well told and told often enough,I'm damned if the truth will ever catch up with it!
I still sitting here scratching my head on how the hell Arsenal managed to lose from 1-0 up at their own Stadium to a team like Hull... who came up through the play-offs. Arsene Wenger wants to win the title but not with a team like this, give the team 3 years then yeah they will be awesome and strong but now...
Arsenal need to get rid of that keeper, I can't stand Almunia lol
If we kept Flamini(aint doing that well in Milan, shows what happens when you move for money) and Hleb is doing bad n injured(shows what happens when you from Arsenal to Barcelona). Oh well, have a good crop of youngsters such as Ramsey, Vela, Merida, Wilshere, Bendtner, Randall and Song.
Newcastle also got a new manager but only one for the end of October. Joke-in-ear or something like that.
Mike Ashley is going to sell the club to South African, Nigerian or Chinese company... something like that. Kevin Keegan will be put back in charge if either one will take over.
