Nishi-san,
Technically, that is true. And yet we gaijin frequently pretend that we can create haiku in English anyway. What amused me was simply that one of us who so abused a Japanese artform was completely unable to understand Japanese words afterwards. (Myself included, though I didn't comment on it at the time. I don't mean to single out the Dread Poet as the only perpetrator of atrocities upon Japanese art.)
Dread Poet, out of curiosity, can you confirm your nationality? I'm trying to confirm if this is a uniquely America trait, or is it shared with other English-speaking countries.

Hi all,
Things have improved markedly. Well, one thing. A major stressor is over now, so I am much more relaxed. This means the game will be underway. However, I note that two players have not posted as much. If it's possible could they post soon so I can move on with the game?
