Clearly, luci, he says that to *all* the girls....

And yes, dammit, luci, plan to submit something! Drew too! Sheesh, with the amount of writing talent we have around here, I can't believe I have to go through this....

I've decided to submit something that might not put dAN into toxic shock syndrome--Coronation Day, a lovely little post-nuclear-impact thriller where two lonely men and a military assault-shotgun attempt to leave a leveled city full of 100,000 starving survivors.

Once this project is ready for submissions, I'll send along the pretty much final, ultra-polished-so-slick-you'll-drop-it copy. I'm also working on Red, another juicy action piece with large but-not-quite giant robots (seeing as I covered the giant robot genre in my previous book).

Foul's just unnaturally prolific, don't worry about it. McDonalds is prolific too. :P

Pff. If one book (and a novella) and a few short stories and volumes of poetry is prolific. I'd say its Brahmsian at best, and my quality is more like Wendy's than McDonalds. They cook made to order, not on heating stands.

Sure. I put the Frosty in the middle of the book and rubber-banded it all together. Make sure to stick it in the freezer once you get it!

Having blown the dust off my most complete fragment of a story, I'm more than a little dismayed by the fact that about 33% of it is off-topic footnotes. :(

Not that that should come as any great surprise to anyone.

THOOOP.

I'd definitely submit, though I have to warn you it would probably be poetry...and it tends to be...dense? My lit and writing prof's loved it, most people just say "Huh?" [with occaisional "I fucking hate poetry" thrown in].
I love my short stories when I'm writing them...a week later they just seem stupid, but I might try one.
I need a definite deadline, though...or I'll definitely be dead before I write a line.

the difference between evidence and sources: whether they come from the horse's mouth or a horse's ass.
"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
the hyperbole is a beauty...for we are then allowed to say a little more than the truth...and language is more efficient when it goes beyond reality than when it stops short of it.

Yeah, for God's sake, we're having a hard enough time getting out this book.

Well, the great news - for me - is that I finally have an idea I can work with. It came to me the night after the nice comments earlier. So, count me in for an entry.

You're a great writer, LM, and writers can go months or years without writing and still not lose the essential touch. I don't think you'll have any problems. Just enjoy yourself!

You only need one idea at a time. Look at SRD. 8)
