Why reject the best, most quotable character from the Chronicles? Silly lion! My stories are so awesome, anyway, that they only grow stronger every time they are struck down (or rejected, in this case). They'll find a way onto the pages, even if it's by osmosis.
I'll say one thing for your stories, Foul. They're cheaper than valium. Hell, even this reply of yours had me nodding off.......
Well good buddy, your lovely stories affect me about as much as a pebble in a landslide. They're so cheap you can just fill your truck with them and make a driveway.

I don't mind having non-fans (you being the first), nor strange, nearly universe-ending anomalies that will never occur again (someone not liking my writing), so I suppose you are a miracle of science that should be treasured. I'm sure the wife agrees. Bing!

I'd really like to thank aTOMic, Menolly and Aliantha for their kind words. You have no idea how much that means to me.

What about thinly veiled fan fiction that merely changes the names of characters and locales with minimal juggling of events, situations, and outcome?

I call mine the Crill of Sha-na-na.

That's okay. I'm revising it to make it even more flagrantly derivative - and thus critically appealing.

Also: Lord Foul's work is so coldly perfect, so inhumanely inaccessible, so starkly vehement in it's loathing and contempt for the reader, I'm afraid I can only give it five out of five stars.

Good Lord!

I just clicked on the Kevin's Watch Anthology link in your sig, aTOMiC, and discovered that they're REAL books!

I will have to diligently hone my craft in order to be worthy of inclusion in such a non-virtual volume.

I replied before I read any of the "new" posts on page one (1). I'm an impatient cuss. The type of button I pressed leads to the "first unread post" at the vBulletin forums I have long familiarity with. Here at Kevinswatch the same sort of link leads directly to the "latest post."

Would my trepidation be any less had I clicked your links, my dear?

considering your obvious opinion of what i write i can't imagine why you'd want one.

My obvious opinion has always been that you're a very talented writer, seriously, you're the best one on the watch, IMO, though Aliantha's great too. So drop the 'tude and help make this the best Anthology ever, or keep the 'tude and don't. your choice.

I'll take that as you don't want to help with the Anthology.

well thats not how it was meant but i certainly can't stop you from taking it that way.

addressing the anthology: i have nothing to contribute at this time, no new writing (that is finished) and no new poems. whether i will have any writing to contribute depends largely on the deadline for submission and how much free time to write i'll have between now and then.

i have not been asked to contribute in any other way but i am happy to help in any admin capacity i'm capable. as i have always been. i've just never been asked to read submissions or do any other thing.

We didn't want you reading the submissions because those of us who do that aren't allowed to submit, and frankly, I'd rather have you as a submitter. The deadline hasn't been set yet. Right now, we're just trying to figure out who wants to contribute. So far, we have about 3 or 4 the submitters who consistently submitt accepted stories; aTOMiC, Lord Foul, and Aliantha. That's not nearly enough. So, when we find out who is interested in submitting, then we'll figure out a deadline that works for everybody.
