Where The Wild Things Are

Next to Up, Avatar, and District 9 this will probably be one of the biggest highlights in movies for me this year.

The trailer gave me goose bumps. Amazing work they did bringing the 'monsters' to life.

Magickmaker is all excited about it. "Where the Wild Things Are" was one of her favorite books as a kidlet. 8)

The trailer was on when we went to see Ice age 3, and my wee girl was terrified - said she wanted to go home.

*nodding*

This was my take on how I suspect many littles may react to the film when I saw the trailer. But, I didn't grow up with this story and have only skimmed through it once. I guess if a child knows the story, and understands they will see beloved characters from a book come "alive" on the screen, they may not be frightened. But, I think this may be a film best seen by the over 5, perhaps even over 7, age group...
