I believe your logic is faulty.

I do not necessarily see a one-to-one correlation between delaying deadline a day and results being processed a day later.

Shall we let Mathematics work this one out? ;)

Yes, the first is fine.

And I hate to say it, but I have to agree with Menolly. Since there's no more need for supporting posts and I won't start processing until the middle of the month (learned my lesson doing it early before), five days likely wouldn't make a difference (though any longer might aggravate me without a heads up).

However... I will say that when I'm processing results, I work from the first submitted to the last - both my initial read to see where things are going and my more thorough one when crafting the actual results. The earlier your results are, the more... primacy your actions have. It's not really much of a strategic advantage, but I think it does play a big part in shaping the turn's turn of events. A turn submitted too late may suffer from not fitting in so well as ideas begin to crystallize.

By the way, the contest deadline is almost up. I hope you guys are just waiting until the last moment rather than passing up what is pretty much free DSP. Contest entries after 23:59 EST of the 31st will not be accepted.

I was joking. It was kind of a play on Chime being all about fair deals, and me wanting some form of payment for...

Forget it.

Regarding the contest... *sigh* If I can think of ONE DAMNED THING to do, I'll do it. No luck so far. All the ideas I've had have had problems for one reason or another. You know why I'm not an author? I have what I consider really good ideas for stories. Maybe even novels. But I can't write if I can't make all the details fit. I've had fun picking at little details in TCTC, but it's all fun. It doesn't bother me. The first two Chrons are the best stuff ever written. But I pick at the little details in my own stuff, too. And it DOES bother me then!!

Silly...
I found it funny.

Hence my play on Chime now being the deity of Mathematics and calling on him to rule if your logic was faulty...

Logic.
As in what is generally taught in Algebra I.
Where you have to start proving things and all that horrid stuff...

Logic proves nothing
At least nothing of value
Trust intuition...
John Lennon wrote:My intentions are good, I use my intuition
It takes me for a ride
But I never understood other people's superstition
It seemed like suicide
And as I play the game of life
I try to make it better each and every day
And when I struggle in the night
The magic of the music seems to light the way
Intuition takes me there
Intuition takes me everywhere

I'm very pleased to announce that I wrote the winning contest entry today! It took 30 txts to my email.

Looking forward to reading it Fist.

After your brief description of your idea via text earlier today, I am curious how similar to Chime's entry it will remain, or if you reconsidered that idea.

I know what my entry would be if I was god of the sun!

But I'm not telling....(fairdealing is only IC)

Heh. Well, I was gonna do a beacon, way up in the mountains. It would light up like the Sun when the barbarians, or other threats, were spotted. Could be seen for hundreds of miles.

But I switched back to another idea I had a while ago.

Well, I'm still looking forward to reading it when you post it.
I love the stories from the deity games.

If only I could steal your gift for my entry, Surya. I have no ideas of my own, but could do oh so much with yours...

May I remind you of the "reciprocity" aspect of the current contest, Kai?

...this should be interesting.

Nyx told me to come up with a better contest entry and edit my post. Like she did.

I'm sooooo ready to submit Turn 11! No, not rushing you, Syl. I know you're on it, and it'll be out. But everybody knows I can't help myself. :D It would take some really strange results to change what I have planned.

Results are out. Sorry they're late. School's starting back up, and I have lots of stuff going on right now. I will extend the deadline to midnight of the 7th.

Dude! :D

No problem about the time. Just glad your absence from the Watch (at least afaik) was only business.
