It's official! D&A, baby! Look forward to the trailer and chapter online, culminating in a glourious publication in October! However, there will be no author tours...

No author tours? That's a drastic departure from normal procedure, isn't it?
That may be ostensibly good for SRD's mental health (we all know he hates such tours), but is it yet another sign of his dimming presence in the eyes of the publishing industry? Did Fatal Revenant sell that badly that his publishers couldn't even justify a promo tour?
Ah, okay, I read SRD's announcement on his website. I see it was solely his decision. (He can say no to these things and they'll accept? Who knew.)

I know! I remember three years ago (or so) that he pretty much said he went on those tours because he was kinda coerced into it to keep publisher-author relationships in a positive light.matrixman wrote: (He can say no to these things and they'll accept? Who knew.)
But bluebird has a point, maybe the Last Dark is going to be quite the ride (Argh, AATE isn't even out yet, and I'm all ready speculating on the LD )

Word is starting to leak out...

"Against All Things Ending" by Stephen Donaldson
The next volume of the popular "Last Chronicles of Thomas Covenant" series may be out sometime in 2010, and Tara Parkinson will be ready to nab it.
Parkinson says she loves Donaldson's science fiction and fantasy series because the books are "hard reading," unlike other stories that are simply "eye candy."
"Donaldson's books are not easy," the Harrisville resident says, "but it's very, very rewarding (reading)." [link]
