Alvin & the Chipmunks, the Squeakquel

Post by Usivius »

One of the pitfalls of fatherhood is that at some point you will have to take your daughter to see a movie you really don't want to. In my case it was recently this one. And although my 7 year old daughter (and some of the young teenage girls in the theatre) seemed to like it, it was appallingly bad.
Not an original idea or joke in the whole pic. And not even done well.

Stay away if you can.

I took my 8yo daughter and we shared plenty of laughs together. As a chipmunk delivery system, it delivers. What else did you want from it?

 - I took my 6 and 4 year-olds to it, and I gotta say, after about 15 minutes I thought "This is going to be a looooong movie"! However, the kids enjoyed it, and well, I sort of agree with Wayfriend in that it is what it is and nothing more. But, the 1st Chipmunks (which I was forced to get from the video shop a couple of days later) was more enjoyable from an adult perspective - and I could walk away from it when it was too unbearable...
