In other good news, my better half had two job interviews yesterday. One of them has already made her an offer. The other is proceding with follow-up interviews, and expects to make a decision on Monday.

Either way, we expect to be making an offer on a very nice house tomorrow. If that works out, in something like six weeks, we'll be moving in. Ah... the new place is glorious. Hardwoods almost everywhere, about twice the space of our current apartment, two stories plus a finished basement.

So, good news for me, might cause some delay in the game stuffs, though. That said, I'm not studying as hard as I could be for the GRE, which means I'm probably in a position to just start this game up now-ish. The deadline for the GRE is May sometime... should be okay for me to run the game while I study for a couple months.

So, feel free to post stuff to the Preludes thread and maybe we can get rolling.

Hi. I am posting at our illustrious GM's insistence so that my face (oh, hello blank avatar ) can start to be recognized.

Some may know me from such past lives as Rod the Puppy Nose-Thwapping Lunatic Kid or That Creepy Spider Lady. Nirvana rejected Lady Seska's last attempt at finding inner peace so she is once again reliving events through the Middle Ages.

How will our fair heroine fare this time around?

So, the fairer half is now employeed. Yay for money.

We made an offer on that shiny house. Then we paid a bunch of money for an inspection. Then we cancelled our offer, because the inspection turned up some structural stuff we didn't want to deal with. Boo for shoddy houses that looked great and made us fall in love with them. Boo for being ugly on the inside.

I just posted eight different blocks of Merits / Flaws, by type. These are the ones from the Core rulebook. More will be added later. Yay for Taduz transcribing those. There will be a little something in it for him later. The rest of you: be afraid.

(Anyone else willing to transcribe stuff from the book should consider that it may become an arms race.)

So, as things stand now, I'm kind of aiming for February 28th / March 1st to actually start the game. I know that Lore lacks Internet access at the moment, so that should give him enough time to get ready.

So, everybody feel free to throw backstories into the Preludes thread, make character sheets and all that, and we'll get started. Any questions, send me a PM or post in one of these threads.

FYI, I updated the Merits / Flaws posts to include some additional merits from the Players Guide to the High Clans book. Low Clans is coming next (thanks again to Taduz).

I just updated the list of available clans to include the Greek Gangrel bloodline. This was at the request of a player.

I also updated the skills to include a house rule for linguistics, and some background from a sourcebook on Transylvania on the languages common to the area.

What we discovered today is that if you go to www.deviantart.com and do a search on "nun" you will get a whole bunch of NSFW images, and a couple pictures of actual nuns. I was looking for the latter group. I was at work. This did not work very well for me.

Side note, the intersection between nun porn and gas mask porn is rather larger than I would have thought.

Today is the 28th. Therefore, I'll be opening the first thread for people to post in. Preludes would also be appreciated, for those who haven't already done them.

Welcome, Johann. You wouldn't be Loremaster, would you? Regardless, when you get a moment, shoot me over a character sheet (right now we're not really using stats, so we can slide a bit) by email to goatkiller666 (at)gmail (dot) com. Most important is your choice of clan, or if you'd like me to choose for you. (And if you want me to choose, are there any guidlines you'd like me to use?)

Of course, if you're Loremaster, then I know what clan you want.

I'm not Loremaster. I'll do up a character sheet and get it to you.

So, for no benefit at all, except that it amuses me, let's have a betting pool for which clan our new friend Johann picks. I'll go with "Let's the GM decide".
