HBO picks up A Game of Thrones!

Post by JazFusion »

I thought someone would have posted this already....

blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2010/03/game-of-thrones-is-afoot-at-hbo.html

BUT....I AM SO EXCITED!!!!

Though the pilot will not be airing until Spring of 2011. For North America, that is. I wouldn't be surprised if they pushed it back, though.

Still....EXCITED!!!!

It is exciting, but ultimately is not worth it not if it distracts GRRM even further from finishing the damn books.......

Well, they hadn't technically greenlighted it at that point. They filmed the pilot and might have aired it without it getting picked up. Now it's official. HBO just decided this three days ago. There will be 10 episodes for a Game of Thrones series. w00t!

If HBO does a book a season, and there's supposed to be 7 or 8 books in total, maybe GRRM will hurry up and finish the books so HBO doesn't get ahead of him.......

But if they wait between seasons like they did with Sopranos, then GRRM has all the time in the world to finish the remaining books :(

Either way, I can't wait to see this :)

I think HBO will finish the series before George does.

The headbanging is exclusively directed at the name "Jamie".

I don't know, but that dude looks just like I'd picture Jaime to look.

Wow, I'm psyched for this show. Those stills look really good.

I actually have no beef with Jaime. He is my favorite character and they made him look like I thought he would.

I'm really having a hard time with the dude who plays Jon Snow and his 'stache, and Lena Heady's eyebrows. She looks like Legolas.

Kevin McKidd, though I think he's a great actor, is not pretty enough to play Jamie. Jamie isn't a beefy chisseled guy with a broken nose, he's a pretty boy.

George says Season One filming just wrapped up (and said he got some work, albeit slowly, done on DWD). Who do you think this guy is? The Hound?
