I’m going to have a baby! There are so many emotions and feelings going through my heart and mind right now. A baby. A beautiful gift.

I can’t wait to meet you. I can’t wait to hold you in my arms and sing to you. I can’t wait to feel your soft head under my chin. I can’t wait to look into your tiny face and tell you I love you over and over again. Oh sweet baby, sweet sweet child, the thought of you scares me to death. To have a life completely dependent on me is terrifying. And yet, I can already hear your soul whispering to mine. You already know me. You already know I’m your mother. I can’t wait to feel you move within me for the first time.

Russell looks at me different now. I can tell how happy he is, how full of awe he is, how scared he is. My amazing husband, soulmate, life-partner, how his eyes glow now. He touches me with such tenderness, he talks to me in hushed tones, as though he is afraid to wake the baby. He runs around like a madman, making plans for the baby’s room, listing what needs to be done, as though we have no time to get ready for our sweet angel’s arrival. He’s going to be an amazing father. Daddy.

Our love has created life. Our love. It grows inside me. Love as life. Life as love. These days are the happy ones, the glorious ones, the endless ones. These days, as my child grows inside of me, will be the most blessed. So much is different now. So much different now.

I’m a mother now.
So lovely, and so apropos. Congratulations again FD! :)

She describes how I'm feeling so perfectly. I was born 22 years ago today, that entry was written when she found out she was pregnant with me.

I just hope I'm half the mother she was/is. Because she's the best.
For Myles--
When evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love

For Mom--
Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.

Fly...fly high against the sky...
Thank you, thank you, thank God for you
The wind beneath my wings

I miss you, baby. The kids miss you. The house misses you. I know this place misses you too.

I love you.
Your love amazes me.

So beautiful, I'm almost jealous I can't get pregnant too

On February 26, 2013 my beautiful BABIES were born. At 3:16 pm Tracie Rose Hammon-Gill graced us with her precious presence. She weighed in at 5 lbs 11 oz and was 19 inches long. Then, to our utter surprise, her brother Alexander Myles Hammon-Gill graced us with his precious presence at 3:27 pm, weighing in at 5 lbs 9oz, 19 inches long. He was hiding behind his sister! We had no idea he was there! I'm recovering nicely from an emergency C-section I had to have due to excessive bleeding. All is well and the babies are healthy and have great sets of lungs!

We feel so blessed with the birth of our two little miracles. As Mom would say: "What gifts the Lord bestows!"

Thank you everyone! Such a chaotic time around here right now, but we are so happy! They are so beautiful and they always seem to want to be near each other, they reach for each other when we put them in their crib.

Grandpa and the rest of the family are spoiling them, they are so loved. And we can feel Mom's presence around us, I'm sure she is smiling and watching over her two grandchildren.

Again, congratulations Fire Daughter! Haven't been around here in ages, but this thread is still the most special place on the Watch.
