No, this was like last month. I guess he got his act together since September. Learned some new tricks.

So, I get this text in the early morning, and it's Odin bragging about how this time he killed her first, so she didn't make any noise. There wasn't quite as much struggle as he normally enjoyed, but... it was much easier to keep a low profile.

The dude really needs to remember that I'm three hours behind him, that's all I'm saying.

I hope to finish tomorrow. Can't promise. But I have done more processing. If I can just get some time to myself!!! All the time with "Odin, what are we gonna do about the frost giants???" "Odin, where's the polish for the rainbow bridge???" It's nothing but work, work, work...

You say that, but we all know that you like to send your ravens out to view the world, leaving your body quiet and still.

(I'm not saying that's a bad thing... I like to think that you're really logging into the Watch and working on turn results... the raven thing is just the metaphor we use for the real-life Fist going online.)

Let's go with Sunday, the 8th. It's only four days from now, but I assume you all know what you intend by now anyway. If there are any scheduling problems because of the short notice, let me know.

hmm...
I really don't plan things out until I sit and compose my turn. But, I don't think Sunday being Mother's Day will interfere too much, here at least.

It should be no problem, once I finish getting more college documentation together and sent off for Beorn's enrollment next year this weekend.

Sunday the 8th sounds good.

Between a killer hangover and Mother's Day, I totally spaced it. Will have it in soon.

I think I'm going to freeze the game and take some time off. Maybe a month. Only three of you sent turns, which, lately, is about as good as it gets before a few reminders. Not much motivation, I'm afraid. Plus, as I've said, I'm not a born GM. Heh. I do this between turns of games I'm playing. Playing keeps me motivated.

But I'm not playing these days. I'm sure I'll get the bug again when Inferno starts, and there's sign that Xar's processing.

So my apologies. But it's not the end.

Just promise you're not going to reboot again. I'm running out of ideas for new deities...

Not I. That's always my favorite part.

Well...
I could always pull a Jove, and drag Virelai over from Irshirel. Or perhaps a succubus named Lily would make an interesting deity of some sort.

I've had just about a long enough wait for some game to start.

I can't say I'm terribly interested in Inferno since I don't like playing evil characters very much.

So, I'd sure like to see something here......
The King has one more move.

Well, I might be able to start Acropolis back up in the next couple of months. I'm not promising, but I'll try (he says during his Journalism class).

The longer the wait for Vanir, though, the more ideas I have. Hope we start back up soon.

As for Inferno, who says you have to be evil? I don't often recommend Piers Anthony, but if you get a chance, pick up For Love of Evil (the rest of that series is pretty entertaining, though I doubt it's aged well. And it's been almost a couple centuries since I read them, but I imagine some of the other books would provide some minable material for these deity games). It gives an interesting, sympathetic portrayal of Satan. For that matter, it's by no mistake that many think Lucifer is the hero of Paradise Lost. Ooh, there was also a good short story by Neil Gaiman that makes Lucifer a pitiful patsy in God's plan. It might be "Murder Mysteries," in Smoke & Mirrors, though I'm not sure that one sounds quite right.
