OK, new deadline is the 18th. There's a new map up, too.

I really prefer "God/dess" over "Deity." The latter expresses ambiguity, but the former a dual nature.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Ah. Sorry. Fixed. Wasn't sure what Eff wanted, and I figured I'd be consistent. Not a problem, though.

SomeFather, thank you for the extension to get my turn in. However, I just noticed while deadline date was yesterday, you say "Friday" with yesterday's date. I do hope to still get my submission in tonight, but I do not know how late I will be on campus. So I appreciate having the extra time.

Thank you.

I don't know... Only three submitted. Is it worth continuing?

That just means you can process all 25 of the turns I submitted ahead of schedule, right?

Well, it is worth it to me. I really don't want to leave another set of followers hanging in limbo...

I know one player has had major life changes recently, but have no idea if that player is one who hasn't submitted.

Summer was winding down, so maybe players were distracted by vacation or school starting up or what have you. Have you PMd or texted those missing regarding getting their turns in?

Yo! Somefather! What's the haps?

I'll trade you an Inferno turn for a Vanir turn...

Right on time, goat. The SomeFather did say to start ribbing him for results if he ever went two months without getting them out after a deadline...

Nnnnnn... I've been trying to gain the mindset to get back to it, but it's just not coming. As I've said all along, I'm not a GM in most ways, and I think the well has run dry. My apologies to all. My thanks to all. The enthusiasm and dedication of many of you has been a lot of fun to work with. It's been a decent run, eh? A combined 30 turns in almost 2.5 years.

Okay, so... NOW can we all share what we had going on behind the scenes?

And what do you guys think about continuing to do just creative writing stories based in the Aesir or Vanir worlds? Not like I have lots of time right NOW, but in another nine months, once I get the diploma...

I would love to revisit Leandrea, Jharvik, Caelyn, and Han. I would like to follow up on Nadia in her immortality. I am sure in time I would enjoy writing about Mimir, Melusina, Holm, Gloîn, Anu, and Vesta. I have always been more im/mortal based than Divine based. But I need situations to react to in order to write. To have the freedom to go anywhere with my characters and characters I am given hinders me.

Read my mind. I just thought of posting something along these lines today...

We've got to get a short story collection together and published!

Of course, once we archive all the threads, they become read-only... so we can't really post our background stuff. But I guess if there's still user activity, it's not really a defunct thread, even if the GM has stopped processing more turns.

That's what we said about Inferno, too. It didn't pan out, though.
