solar and wind diy kits? where are they?

Post by High Lord Tolkien »

I want a small solar panel and wind turbine thingy for my house.
I want it to be hooked up so any power generated from it that I don't use goes back into the "grid".

Why can I not find do-it-yourself kits for this that aren't to complicated?
Is there seriously no company that has figured out how to sell a package to do this?
I've seen lots of kits on Amazon but nothing that meets what I'm looking for.

This one looks promising and good to start with. Not sure though.
I like how the converter battery makes it like a separate charging station.

WTF?
You would think by this point there'd be some all inclusive setups.
Also, i'm not seeing any tax breaks or incentives for this.
Bush had the best one but it expired and Obama's is only a fraction of Bush's and seems more complicated.

Anyone have any experience with this?
Even my greenie tree-hugging liberal relative don't have any ideas for me.
Someone point me in the right direction.

GRU has a feed-in tariff program Hyperception and I seriously looked at.
But as renters, we have to get permission from our landlord.
And our rental management company refuses to forward our request to him...
