10 years from now......
Where do you see yourself? Where do you hope to see yourself? What do you see yourself doing? Are you happy with the status quo?
Me.....I see, at least I hope to see changes. I have stopped saying plan and started saying hope. Plans get broken, hopes get fulfilled.
Geographically, I KNOW I will change, hopefully find an area of this or another country that is more conducive to my personality. A place far from any city.
If you asked me 10 years ago the same question, I would have never said I would be at the same job doing the same thing and looking at a 20 years retirement. But life is like that, and now I am just a few years away from that 20 years. So hopefully, in 10 years I will happily drawing a pension and exploring the grand world of unemployment.
10 years from now I hope to be in a new committed relationship, but I no longer plan for that. I do plan to expand my circle of friends, people who are interested in things that I am interested in, not just casual friendships of convenience that I have now.
10 years from now I hope to be involved in an animal rescue or environmental rescue organization. I feel like I need to be in a positive helping environment that does NOT involve people, welfare, homeless, etc.
!0 years ago I planned to be a published author, now in 10 years I just hope to have a finished product. Life is like that, grand plans become grounded hopes.
Anyone else care to share?

In ten years I will drink the Brunella di Montalcino reds that I just bought and put into the cellar.
In ten years I will hopefully pay less for the house.
Within the next ten years I plan on getting two English Bulldogs.
A few steps up the career laddder wouldn't be bad either.
A bit more time to make music again would be nice as well.
And maybe more space to built a real HUGE outdoor enclosure for a big guinea pig family.
But as long as my family still is healthy in ten years I won't complain about much.

I hope to be *in* Denver, and retired or semi-retired.
Past that, I dunno. I hope I will have visited one or more of the places on my short list by then. But I might leave one or two for a post-retirement trip.
I hope to buy a place to live, free and clear, before I retire. Because that would cut my monthly expenses by a significant amount, and I don't want to take either a rent payment or a mortgage payment into retirement with me.
I hope to be surrounded by kind people who share my interests.
And I hope that neither of my kids is living with me -- or has dropped a baby on me to raise.

Still working at the library (yay!)
Owning a parcel of land, and either in the process of or finished building a multi-house complex for my family and I to live on.

Lorin, I'd actually thought about offering to Cag to buy his place. But I don't know that the timing would mesh....

Well, I'm not a Bending robot, and when I'm not having sex I'd at least like a nice place to rest.Vader wrote:If the sex is good, who cares about the house?Lord Foul wrote:Having sex with my wife in a nice house, hopefully.
