I think you kinda nailed it. Save for the beard. I don't recall him having one. In fact....I know he doesn't...unless it changes. But he shaved himself quite often in the first book, which for some reason, I think these are from. Maybe it's the glowing ring? Oh, wait. That happens all the time!
