What the frak is happening with the anthology?

Not meaning to sound angry. I am genuinely concerned, as it's been a year since submissions closed.

It's been longer than that since we've received any submissions. I believe aTOMiC extended the deadline several times in 2008 or 2009 (has it been that long ago? 8O), and opened it up for another round last year, and we got nothing new.

Yeah, I think apathy has set in amongst those who already knew about the anthology, and people who've joined since the last anthology may well be unaware of its existence (it's surprising how many times an entire forum can be overlooked if its title holds no significance to you).

I fear that an attempt to revive the anthology project might require Menolly-like pan-forum spam.

Guys. I'm sorry about the state of the Anthology these days. I did make several appeals but Mr. Underscore is correct when he points out we never really received enough submissions to go to publication. If we find a way to revive interest in publishing a book then I'll be more than happy to help get the thing completed. I just wish there was more interest.

You don't have anything to apologise for, Tom. There's no disputing that you've done all anyone could have asked of you to try and get it off the ground.

You could write an anthology-worth of short stories, in different styles and under different names. :P

What a great idea, Jay! You've got a good acceptance rate with the submission team, too.

I'd be willing to submit something else...also we have a bunch of new people in the last few months...maybe heavily promote it again?

Geez, where have I been?? somehow, I totally missed that there is a Kevin's Watch Anthology. (Feels for hair color)

I kid you not. What is the anthology? Now that I'm here, there isn't a thread called "Idiot's Guide to the Kevin's Watch Anthology" or "Kevin's Watch Anthology FAQ".

So what is it and where can I find out more? I'm assuming it is a collection of fanfic? Or general fantasy stories? Inquiring blondes want to know!!

Please submit. I'll get Montresor to submit something - so that will help get this project off the ground.

The beauty of lulu.com is that they print the books to order and ship them directly to you. Although, I have no idea what shipping to Nigeria would cost. But I do know Watchers in places such as Australia have ordered and received them.

I was talking to some folks just the other day and for some reason I mentioned the Anthologies which of course got me thinking about them again.

I'm still game if anyone else is of course it would have been much easier while I was still unemployed and just sitting around the house most days but I'll make the time if there is enough interest.
