What did the Vizard do?

Post by cspariah »

OK, I admit I'm totally being lazy here. But I read Runes when it came out, and I read most of FR on a transatlantic plane flight -- my point is that I don't remember certain salient details.

The one detail that I'm really annoyed at not being able to remember is this: What did the Vizard do to the Haruchai? I know he did something but I can't remember exactly what.

Halp? Thanks!

He collectively kicked their butts...all my himself. Like physically roughed them up.

He also ridiculed them while he was doing it, too.

Remember Pai Mei teaching Beatrix in Kill Bill? It was a lot like that.

Is it explained in FR why he did it? Or did he just show up, smack them around, and then leave mysteriously?

The Haruchai (wasn't it one hundred?) traveled to his land seeking challenges to their abilities. Every Haruchai got beaten up for their efforts, thus wounding their pride.
