I cracked up at his idea of the "Ebert Test."
It's an interesting thing, a good story...and early on [@ 7 or 8 minutes] makes a point that, if you follow the implications, goes beyond just his extreme situation and voice.
Only the most miniscule portion of us actually speak with our own voice...what comes out of our mouths is an ingrained bundle of habitual imitations of other voices, and extraneous muscular tensions...and it's a primary source of misunderstandings.
And his wife seems just cool as hell.

the difference between evidence and sources: whether they come from the horse's mouth or a horse's ass.
"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
the hyperbole is a beauty...for we are then allowed to say a little more than the truth...and language is more efficient when it goes beyond reality than when it stops short of it.

Agreed on his wife -- she rocks.
I thought it was cool that he got to meet the actor who provides the voice for "alex". Too bad there weren't more usable sounds from his own voice that could be mined to produce a digital voice for him.
