Very uplifting. Although to really get it I had to imagine giving away a guitar pick from a famous band's concert, as it would be absolutely no sacrifice for me to give away a baseball.

I have given away things I really care about to others from time to time. Usually, I quickly find a way of realizing that I gave away nothing I could not get back. It's a safe world I live in. I'm glad that kid was capable of the generosity he showed by giving away the ball: I'm absolutely confident it will return to him in spades, and in a good way, someday in his life.
