I have a writer friend in NH. I'd welcome the chance to go catch a ballgame with him while indulging in SRD-festing as well.

Guysssss, I live in NH. Moving back to Manchester Saturday. Most likely going to be there this time next year. I'd vote for Boston. It has everything anyone would want, and if you want to see NH, it's not far away.

You know....it might be cheaper for some of you to fly into Manchester Regional in NH. I could volunteer my car to transfer folks from NH to Boston, but it'd have to be a one shot deal. And I have a tiny Civic, so I could fit three people comfortably. Four, if people like being squished in the back.

I will mention here like I've mentioned on other threads about this. A house rental sounds cool but it would most likely mean three to four to a bedroom and I think we need more privacy than that
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

That's what a fire on the beach is for. :big grin:

We can find a motel by the beach. Fall isn't likely to be in season.

I've been to Boston, but that's really all I've seen of New England.

I've never done one of those hang out at the beach build a fire parties.

I think I should be in the Sarge/Julie sandwich. I don't take up much room, and I hardly snore at all (both lies).

Clambake! :) Maybe we could work one of those in. How far is the beach from Boston, again?

I looked at the map briefly last night. Magickmaker and I might drive up, unless I can get us really cheap shuttle tickets. (US Air and Delta run hourly flights between DC and NYC, and between DC and Boston. Maybe between Boston and NYC, too, for all I know...)

I'd love to go, but the wife isn't working this next year, so things are going to be a bit tight, and I doubt I can justify a trip, especially since baby #2's due date is Saturday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though that things will change and I'll be able to go, so I'm committing to a no for now.

Bingo!!!

Plus, in Boston itself there probably isn't much of an "off season". As well as a tourist city it's a commercial city, with lots of business travelers expensing their stay. Off the top of my head, I think I paid $65 a night in Albuquerque. In Boston, I think we'd be lucky to find rooms at $165; and if not I'd wonder about the neighborhood.
