One—Our common welfare should come first; personal recovery depends upon A.A. unity.

Two—For our group purpose there is but one ultimate authority—a loving God as He may express Himself in our group conscience. Our leaders are but trusted servants; they do not govern.

Three—The only requirement for A.A. membership is a desire to stop drinking.

Four—Each group should be autonomous except in matters affecting other groups or A.A. as a whole.

Five—Each group has but one primary purpose—to carry its message to the alcoholic who still suffers.

Six—An A.A. group ought never endorse, finance or lend the A.A. name to any related facility or outside enterprise, lest problems of money, property and prestige divert us from our primary purpose.

Seven—Every A.A. group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.

Eight—Alcoholics Anonymous should remain forever nonprofessional, but our service centers may employ special workers.

Nine—A.A., as such, ought never be organized; but we may create service boards or committees directly responsible to those they serve.

Ten—Alcoholics Anonymous has no opinion on outside issues; hence the A.A. name ought never be drawn into public controversy.

Eleven—Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion; we need always maintain personal anonymity at the level of press, radio and films.

Twelve—Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our Traditions, ever reminding us to place principles before personalities.

Zeroth law of thermodynamics:
If two systems are in thermal equilibrium
with a third system, they must be in
thermal equilibrium with each other.
This law helps define the notion of temperature.

First law of thermodynamics:
The energy of an isolated system is constant
. Because energy is conserved, the internal
energy of a system changes as heat flows in
or out of it. Equivalently, perpetual motion
machines of the first kind are impossible.

Second law of thermodynamics:
The entropy of any closed system not in
thermal equilibrium almost always increases.
Closed systems spontaneously evolve
towards thermal equilibrium -- the state of
maximum entropy of the system -- in a
process known as "thermalization".
Equivalently, perpetual motion machines
of the second kind are impossible.

Third law of thermodynamics:
The entropy of a system approaches a
constant value as the temperature
approaches zero. The entropy of a system
at absolute zero is typically zero, and in all
cases is determined only by the number of
different ground states it has.

As mathematical equations
, fractals are usually nowhere differentiable
, which means that they cannot be measured
in traditional ways.

In spring 2006 I finally
get my hands on X-Fi Fatal1ty card.
The reason for upgrade from my Audigy2zs
was mostly the pause bug, BF2 support
(I started play BF2 a lot) and the X-ram
thing, that provide 64MB soundbuffer that
should dramaticaly reduce PCI load - hence
give me some speed-up Or so I thought.
The first nasty surprise when I actually get
the card in my hand was this:

In modern parlance,
a gun is a projectile weapon using a hollow,
tubular barrel with a closed end — the breech —
as the means of directing the projectile
(as well as other purposes, for example stabilizing
the projectile's trajectory, aiming, as an expansion
chamber for propellant, etc.), and firing in a
generally flat trajectory.

An early variant technique,
called a balance siphon, was to have the two
chambers arranged side-by-side on a sort of
scale-like device, with a counterweight attached
opposite the initial (or heating) chamber. Once
the near-boiling water was forced from the
heating chamber into the brewing one, the
counterweight was activated, causing a
spring-loaded snuffer to come down over
the flame, thus turning "off" the heat, and
allowing the cooled water to return to the
original chamber. In this way, a sort of primitive
'automatic' brewing method was achieved.
