The Force: What is it? And what are it's uses?
What are the different ways of using the force. Many people have read books, and there might be something in them that tells us.
We all know that is can be moved to move objects. I know that it can be used to heal, Jump, run higher and faster. Better reflexes. Make you stronger. Can help you not need sleep. What else though, I'm certain I have forgot some, and am in complete ignorance about the rest. Can you tell me?

Well, I know it can be used to jump-start an X-wing, if you have the right jumper cables.

Oh right. You'd like to hear about actual uses.
I've played Jedi Knight II. You can do a lot of cool stuff there. Most of the awsome things that might be accomplished with the force we all know pretty well. Can a single human, while wielding the force, cause an asteriod to change its course? Or suppress a solar flare? Or raise the dead? Or teleport matter? Hmm...

Weeeeeell, no. But I know of some uses as seen in the movies and books. You see, unlike TCTC, Star Wars is a fantasy work.Darth Revan wrote:Anyways, do you know any actual ways the force can be used.
It is often used to see the future. Rather ineffectively for long-range seeing, as Yoda tells us time and again. "Difficult to see is the future. Always in motion it is." Duh, I don't know why they bother asking him!
But they all use it to see where laser blasts are going to be so they can knock them aside with their lightsabers, and to see other aspects of the opponent's attacks.
Spider-sense seems to be common, and seems to be, at least partly, reading the future.
In one book, Mon Mothma was poisoned pretty badly. One of Luke's students used the Force to pull the poison out - molecule by molecule. I was quite impressed. It took a looooooooooong time.
BTW, read the Zahn books! There are these creatures that push the force away from themselves! A "bubble" exists around each of them, which is interesting when they meet Jedi.
