Doom- It sucks

Holy cow! Am I the only one that played Doom when there was absolutely nothing like it around? Even when Duke Nukem came around. (which I loved at the time) I still had a huge amount of respect for what ID had accomplished. DOOM3 is one of the most immersive and down right spooky games I've ever seen. If I were forced to compare the original DOOM to today's games I'd say it sucks too. It and every game like it that came out from 1993 to 2000. But that would be patently unfair. All in all though this is all one guy's opinion and I respect all of the others expressed here.
