Either PS2 or X-Box. PS2 has Vice City and Soul Calibur 2, the two games I will kill for. BUT, X-Box also has both those titles (and KOTOR and Morrowind and the best version of Splinter Cell) . . . And whilst X-Box has a hard drive for saving games, PS2 requires a purchase of a memory card. BUT, X-Box holds no real future games I'm that wild about, whilst PS2 holds the future for me: Final Fantasy XII, Gran Turismo 4, etc. I don't know. And ALSO, I've got a handful of PS ONE games, and buying the PS2 would be great, as its backwards compatible, whilst buying an X-Box would mean I'd have to keep my PS ONE hooked up, to play games like Final Fantasy IX, etc. This is a very, very hard choice. *cry!*

I would go for PS2, it's got a wider selection of games, which is what really counts. People talk about the most powerful console but at the end of the day you could have a console that destroyed polanets, it would still be crap it it had no decent games.

The X-Box! Get the X-Box! I believe GTA is coming out on the X-Box, which is cool. And you want KOTOR. It's one of the best games ever.

PS2 seems to be winning this atm...
I have PS2, and I need no other. I started out playing allsorts of games, but now I seem to play nothing but RPGs, though (I recently rediscovered Jade Cocoon hiding under my bed - I never finished that game...).

Get a PS2. The range of games, the number of games, the quality of games... there is already a huge back-catalogue of games to buy from, and a lot of good ones - and of course, there is no way I would ever miss the opportunity to play an FF - FFX and FFXII would be enough alone to make me get this console, if I didn't have it already.

I bought the pc version and it ran soooo slow and bad on my machine. I may just buy an xbox for KOTOR and Halo 2.
