Out of the gentle, soft and lovely characters of the Gap cycle, which one would you prefer to spend an extended amount of time with?

Soft, my ass!:P The three I'd, probably want to spend extended time with are Hashi, Min Donner and Vector.

Flatterer.

I admit that I probably wouldn't mind spending an extended vacation with Mikka...but that is neither here nor there.

Vector and Mikka

Koina Hannish by day, Blaine Manse by night.

Mikka for some moods...and what's his name---old Cap't Vertigus---for others [oh...and maybe Holt's Mom, too!]

Travel with? If you're talking trapped in an RV, none.

A brief plane flight and separate hotel rooms ... Warden and maybe Morn.

A cruise ship ... not even if I had top tier accommodations and they were closer to steerage.

If I were to meet any of them in a bar or coffee house I'd only not runaway from Koina or Hashi.

Cheating your way out - aren't you? The question was supposed to find out the preferred choice, not refuse any.

Well, I have an idea. The default is Milos. If you haven't chosen, he goes with you.

SD, it's very good of you to point that out for Sarge, but where is your own choice?

And, certainly, now I don't want to take any time with mine - though it's not any much hard anyway. Actually, I think I could agree to travel with any of them under certain conditions - for instance, with Milos - if I have all the dark powers befitting for me and the Illearth Stone - and no requirements on in what condition I should return him. With Min - if I don't plan on anything... nasty. If whose company I could enjoy most - then Hashi Lebwohl.

As for the poll, looks like 22 characters I think should be there, almost half of them named here already. If everyone is fine with such a column, I'm adding it. It will also distort the results for the cases of choosing two or more, of for adding circumstances, so better to write down still.
I have many names... and may play many roles

A fair question, Gray Slayer.

I see much to like in both of Icarus' choices...but I do not aspire so high as those two. Grant me Alesha Hardaway as a companion. The few paragraphs with which SRD introduces her to us resonate strongly in their parallels to my RL companion choices.

And I very much like the way she thinks.

Dolph, if he is doing the driving. :D It would be good if Vector was there too.

I didn't choose none. I just stipulated specific travel arrangements for the 2 I would travel with.
A brief plane flight and separate hotel rooms ... Warden and maybe Morn.
The key here is not spending too much travel time with them.

Exactly the problem - it was meant to be a complete take it or leave it - to name someone you'll be ready to share any journey with. Well, most ready - from the available choices.

Well, sir. Since I'm not Angus you can't force Milos on me.

I stand by my assessment of the characters. Any extended time with them is going to end badly.

Nick, if I can travel with him BEFORE he encounters Morn. He seemed like good fun back then.

Mikka, Ciro, and the dude who bosses Ciro around. These seem like decent, somewhat sturdy people who might show me the ropes.

Oh. And The Bill. You have to pay him. You just gotta.
