The Last Dark: First Rewrite
Just got through checking SRD's site. The first rewrite of the The Last Dark has been finished. If my quick mental math is correct, this process only shaved off roughly 150 pages from the first draft. Not sure how significant that is, but it seems that this one will be packed with new Last Chronicles goodies.
Would have posted in The Last Dark forum, but can't.
Excited!

Yea, the blurb said should be on target for that.Akasri wrote:OK, so first rewrite is done... what kind of time frame are we looking at? Still Fall of 2013?

the difference between evidence and sources: whether they come from the horse's mouth or a horse's ass.
"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
the hyperbole is a beauty...for we are then allowed to say a little more than the truth...and language is more efficient when it goes beyond reality than when it stops short of it.

Hile Troy
Although TC was the central character of the series, I thought that Hile Troy was one of the most compelling characters of all of the Chronicles. Some of the most riveting chapters were about the battles across the Plains and down to meet the Forestal. Verement's "I match you hate for hate" would be a stunning one liner in any blockbuster movie.

Hello!
Hello! I'm brand new here, but I've been a Stephen R. Donaldson fan since the 70's--when I bought my first set of The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant. I pre-ordered the last two books of The Last Chronicles, and I can't wait to pre-order the last book...

Hi Honto!
Welcome to the Watch!
Head over to the Summonsing and introduce yourself and get a proper welcome.
We're all looking forward to the release of The Last Dark, some people are on pills for the excitement
Be careful if you stray into the 'Tank (the politics forum), they like their fish raw and wriggling over there

On the contrary, we would treat any newcomers the same way we treat the old-timers (not that I am really an 'old timer' but you know what I mean)--everyone gets an equal dose of disdain and sarcasm. That is our "love language", you see.ussusimiel wrote:Be careful if you stray into the 'Tank (the politics forum), they like their fish raw and wriggling over there

Yes, welcome Honto.
The Tank is gone and now so am I.
