"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I second Menolly. She worked her ASS (can I say that?)--ASS OFF on the Summonsing while I did nothing but lock a rusmeister thread and yell at newbies that they should fear me. Menolly's informational posts to newbs were and are like reading a tourist's guidebook to another country: they were chock-full of hyperlinks and road signs of where to go and what to do with your new-found newbdom.

Whoever votes for me (David Williams / Lord Foul) should understand that would be hilariously ironic, as I am now non-moderated.
