"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

It was prior to Frostheart's (fine...Zorm's) hiatus. Many treasures were taken down at that time and not all have come back to the Watch...but those who Watch remember. Clearly, Way is among that group...and none are surprised thereby!Menolly wrote:Is this posted on the Watch anywhere?wayfriend wrote:I nominate Frostheart for Charade's End.
Yes, I admit this is neither a nom nor a second, since Frosty's image has already received both. Before a Great and Powerful Watchy Mod banishes my post, I humbly point out that it is answering a question posed by a Watchy Mod...

In the meantime, thanks for the info. I'll insert the image in way's nomination.

As hilarious as it is, this has been posted on several occasions during several different years (HLT's repost is from Jul 23, 2010). Mods, I think we need some sort of rule here: First posting year or latest appearance?Effaeldm wrote:I nominate "Don't touch me" Tommy

As long as it was posted, used, or whatever during the 2010-2011 period, I think it's eligible for nomination. However, I would suggest against repeats or reposts because I doubt they'd get that many votes.

Thanks for elucidating. Perhaps this particular nomination would fit better the 2010 awards (than the suggested 2011), considering the original post date of the thread.[Syl Embattled] wrote:As long as it was posted, used, or whatever during the 2010-2011 period, I think it's eligible for nomination. Also, is the copy writ creator of the image, Russel Flowers, a Watcher? Or was the image manipulated in any way by the Watcher who posted it? I'm not sure how we would award a Watchy to Russel Flowers if the answer is no to either question.[Syl Embattled] wrote:As long as it was posted, used, or whatever during the 2010-2011 period, I think it's eligible for nomination. Does that make a difference, sheriff?
