I find for PM archiving purposes, sourcing from the Alts actually helps. Especially for IC (but secret) stuff to other players, but also stuff to GMs about rules interpretations and whatnot.

And my GK's saved box is always hovering at 99% full, so I have to keep deleting stuff.

Pondering whether it would be possible to balance a follow-up game where an all-powerful god competes against groups of mortals. One-against-many could be interesting, but I don't think there's any way to make it work.

Smart-assed response: Dibs on playing God!

Serious answer: if the competing mortal factions had some kind of immunity to God's power, it might could work. An area effect athiest field around all of the non-believers. God's power is nullified there, but he can act outside that field, then send stuff in towards them... however, the more fantastic the creation, the more likely the entire thing will cease to exist on contact with the athiests.

Build an army of savages riding oliphants like in LOTR, they go poof when they hit the army of athiests. Brainwash a group of actual living beings into being super-zealots, they rush right in and start killing.

Something like that.

I'll be away from tomorrow until monday afternoon, so I'll probably not be able to answer any questions over the weekend.

At first I read that as you being "away from tomorrow", as in avoiding the whole idea of the future. Then I remembered you're British, and you talk funny. Once I ran the sentence through my "doesn't speak [American] properly", I figured it out.

Joking aside, that's a very common way of phrasing it for the many Indians I work with. I'd assumed it was an artifact of their native languages, now I realize it's an artifact from a British education.

Okay, how would you have phrased it?

"Starting tomorrow, I'll be away until Monday afternoon."

Mine isn't any better, just that yours is unfamiliar to me.

And before anybody gets any bright ideas, I am the winner of this game. There! I got dibs!

Well okay, guess we might as well all pack up and go home now. Congrats, Fist.

(my cunning scheme to convince Fist that he's won so that I may dominate the game begins... and ends?)
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Hey, I paid you good money to let me win this one, so go sit in the corner and keep quiet!

I paid Murrin even better money to let Syl win.

Just so he can beat you at every game you play.

I hear he even beat you at Aesir. How do you lose to a guy who talks to trees? In your own game?

Rules update: III.iii. Turn Submission
The Game Master will set a deadline for each turn submission, but players are encouraged to submit as early as possible. Turns are processed in random sequence, but the last player to submit a turn will always be the last processed (and this will occasionally have negative consequences). If you miss a deadline, you're out of luck.

Concessions can be made for players who make it known in advance that they cannot submit within the deadline.

It's bad when I have to look at the Last 24 Hours list to remember my name. "I know it starts with A..."

Will you accept my advice on a new name then?

It will be easier to spot in the list.

Are we taking a change from other similar games, and using PMs instead of emails for this?
