Except Xar didn't go MIA permanently in neither 2010 nor 2011...

Category didn't say permanently.

Though, I would argue that he hasn't really returned since some time in early 2011. So yeah... kinda permanent.

I hung up the phone with him moments ago.

Gosh darn it.
AllMother with her rapid results turnarounds has spoiled me.
It hasn't even been a week yet, and I'm already getting antsy.

If only DA had a predictable update schedule...

[GM Hint] - Nagging usually prolongs the process. If you have extra energy that needs a gaming outlet, feel free to do some IC and public posts to any of the other games you're in. There's no reason Serenity can't just randomly talk about the blessings of peace, etc. Laurel could do some interpretive dance now and then.

There is something I'm going back and forth on posting about in Acropolis, but the one player I have discussed it with said it was something they wouldn't share publicly. So, I'll hold on to it now, pending results. If I learn anything more which will justify it being shared further, Serenity will post.

But not yet.

I think I've also expressed the value of stories (to explain rather than achieve) in Acropolis II, and one player has reaped the rewards of it. So...
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

You have, Autarch.
But I haven't the slightest idea what stories to tell, yet.

...not to mention my storytelling skills are pitiful.

If I was going off of skill, you'd all be screwed (English major, hello?). But as an actress friend I met on a train once told me, "To act is to be, and to be is to do." (which might not have been the actual order, but that's how I remember it) Or as I hear more oftenly these days, "Fake it 'til you make it."

he kept pushing me to write stories as well.

Or maybe I'm just conspiring with Goat to say, in so many words, 'put up or shut up.' ;)

And DPJ is right. I challenge you to pick up a random paperback at your library or local book chain, read a random paragraph, and not say, 'I can do better than that,' at least 1 time out of 5. I know you can (English major, hello? ;))

I guess I could start developing myths about the beginnings of the Transformed, but it sure would help to know if I finally sold you on the idea of the Chrysallis...

I'm fine with the idea of a tribe called Chrysalis (as opposed to Quest). I'm fine with what you're trying to do. I just don't understand combining the two. It seems... overly complicated (which, coming from me, is probably making Goat and Fist laugh their asses off).

huzzah!!

First I heard that since I started putting forth the concept.

I just took the part of the rules about associating various clans with aspects of one's totem too literally, I guess. As I stated at the start, I planned to have three clans: Nymph, Chrysalis, and Transformed. You explained why the Transformed can't be a clan, and I totally accept that.

But I am still progressing with what simple plan/story I devised (for the first time ever in these games) for Serenity's world building. So far, other than what you seem to be starting to throw at us, or at Serenity anyway, it's all I have in the game right now. Even after six turns, I'm still trying to find my path in Acropolis.
