After a strong start out of the blocks, I've fallen off the pace. (Not an unusual pattern for me!) Reading a good one at the moment but having trouble concentrating. Also a few non-fiction titles in there which tend to slow me down.

Orlion, by the sounds of it, your Crowley detour has been well worth it.

Hahaha, I notice you don't give the actual numbers there... ;)

I would call it more than one a week.

Most comic TPBs can be read in an hour, I don't count those.

:-) Not a deliberate omission I assure you, just a consequence of foggy brain. 20 books out of the 50 for the year I'm meant to be reading. 4 behind schedule apparently 8O though I do have 5 on the go in various stages of mid readness so it may improve.

Whatever the case, predictably, a hell of a long way behind you!

Well I wouldn't really either, but read 10 and that's a whole day's reading, so I think you can count them all as another book or two.

4 isn't that bad in terms of the goal...slacker. ;)

50 weeks, 112 books. The last six months included much gaming, which really shot my average. :D

Gaming ruined my score too 8O. That and reading a couple of Malazan tombs, which really should count as 3 books.

Excuses aside, I did terribly this year. Half illness, half disintegrating attention span, half an ability to do Maths ;-).

Hope the rest of you mob are meeting your goals.

Nah, I lost most of November due to spending too much time gaming. I'm at 45 and don't think I'll read 7 more in 3 weeks.

Yeah, I got set back by a new job, a John Crowley kick (the Aegypt Cycle was fantastic but put me behind 10 books that I never caught up with), and my Shakespeare goal was a complete bust.

Oh well, I might still make 50 books this year. I may even finish the Illuminatus! Trilogy before year's end ;)

See, I can hardly be expected to read when I can't write.
I also meant 'inability' to do Maths.

But at least I'm getting handing with a Warhammer.

I would say that half an ability and half an inability are the same, so no issue there. Handing though... ;)

Well, finished 2 more since then, bringing my total for the year to 114. Doubt I'll finish the current one before new years.

No goal this year. I've read 7 so far, IIRC.

Oh, I never have a goal. But I often get asked how much I read a year so the forum provides a handy running total for me. :D

(I also love how I can tell, for example, that the last time I read Wolfe's Book of the New Sun was in 2010. :D )

72 so far this year, in 31 weeks. Bit slower than last year so far.

Well, on my 123rd book for the year. Doubt I'll fit in another before the end (maybe one more), too many games to play. Just over two a week. Slow year for me. :D
