Like all good colonizing Empires, I leave the current powers in place and simply dictate to them.
In this case I decree all late nominations as legal, and all un-seconded nominations, including th e aforementioned late nominations, as seconded.

Now, let's get voting.

It applies to you both.

Harumph. "'nuff said" until you get Best Mod.

Come on, Watchers. Time to make it clear that "She Who Has No Self Confidence" ought to believe in herself a trifle more.

Or, to quote Louise Hay (thanks Phyllie!), "You've been criticizing yourself for years and it hasn't worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens."

Better Nate than lever, I say. As long as there's decent activity, it's fine. But let's say a firm deadline of the 19th (of this month). Two weeks from today, basically. From right... now. If it's pretty dead for more than a couple days, though, don't be surprised to see the polls up. Or don't be mad, anyway.

As for the rest... *shrug* I'm not here as much lately, so do what needs doing. That's usually been my philosophy. Of course, I wasn't even modding in 2009, so....

Due to the rule saying one can self-nominate or second a nomination for oneself only once, the nomination of The Religion of Peace for Best Debate needs to be seconded by someone else to be accepted as a nomination. sarge has chosen to stick with his self-nomination in Poetry: Best Free Verse for his one self-action.

Just a reminder: Four days left to nominate or second, unless the sheriff decides to close the process early due to lack of activity.

It wouldn't be the Watchies without Null disregarding and/or complaining about the way things are done. Sadly, Foul isn't here to offer his obligatory 'yay, meat parade' comment.

Not open enough, eh? I'm thinking next year we'll go Academy style. Mods will just declare who won what awards in their respective forums. Forget all this voting crap..

Typical - leftist - hypocrisy. I think if everyone wanted to see your name in every category it'd be there.

True democracy is rare in this world. I'm not sure I've ever seen it.

Polls are up and will be active for exactly 14 days. Go vote.

And if you haven't registered yet, there's still time.
