Have just changed my status for The Runes of the Earth on Goodreads from "currently reading" to "READ."
That last sentence ranks up there with "Nom." from the middle of The One Tree as a mind-blowing sucker-punch, doesn't it?
I'm also thinking about how I really like the first book of all three series. TWL is by far my favorite of the 2nd trilogy (just think about how much happened between the end of TPTP and the last pages of TWL); and LFB is probably my favorite of the 1st trilogy -- though TPTP is a big contender for that spot too. I was extremely happy about TROTE. I hope I'm not disappointed with how the appearance of the "two strangers" will change the story as it's established itself so far.
