Haha. Just a suggestion but I think a few wrinkles would add to the figure. He's 30-something and was having a rough life when the story begins.
A little knowledge is still better than no knowledge.

Works for me. Well done.

(Personally, I have never been able to capture what I see in my mind's eye when I read. Upon close inspection, my mind's eye leaves a lot out! Which is my way of saying I greatly respect such attempts, and think anyone who succeeds at it deserves good praise.)

Thanks everyone! No problem on critiques or whatever -- these are purposefully "sketch this out in no more than 10 minutes" and leave the warts alone. Wayfriend caught on to the purpose: I'm really just putting what exists in my mind's eye onto paper, whether it's perfect or not. I'm not a "fan art" kind of guy at all, but it's hard for me to write in words how I feel about the Chronicles; it's much easier to sketch something out, like a snapshot from a dream, and share that instead. So, requests / challenges welcome.
