I wanted to suggest something. What about renting a large house in Albuquerque for a week during the fest. If we rent a 3 bedroom house we can house at least 6-8 people and it would probably be the same price as individual hotel rooms.

That assumes, of course, we ever come up with a firm date.
Anyone for that idea?

I imagine most people wouldn't be staying a week. My own plans are up in the air at this point, but I'm thinking I'd only be in for the weekend. I'd arrive late on Thursday or Friday and most likely be off on my way on the Monday afterwards.lorin wrote:I wanted to suggest something. It's not worth me coming all that way for just a weekend so a week would be great. Also, a date is now needful. The lady who runs the singing group I accompany informed me yesterday, after I casually said I was going to America for a week next June, that they do an annual concert at a small village near here - around the 21st June! She will have to rearrange if I am not here at that time.
I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!

I tried to organize something like this last year, and it all fell apart when it reached the point where people needed to commit money. Which, in my opinion, needed to be before I made the reservation - you need to know how much money you can count on to know what you can get. My advice is to make sure that this is more clear up front -- if you're interested, be prepared to state your amount of interest in dollars.lorin wrote:I wanted to suggest something.
