Random sporting events

Post by Cybrweez »

Instead of a list of topics w/little interest, maybe one topic w/random sporting events?

I'm sad I missed final round of British Open, would've been great to see Phil's comeback (altho, watched Despicable Me 2 w/the family, so a good alternative). Haven't read much about it, but I will to try to get a feel. I think he birdied 4 of last 6 holes? Man, must've been intense.

I'm sad about England's complete slaughtering of Australia in the 2nd Ashes cricket test. Australia were a dominant force all through the late 90s to around 2009, only losing 18 out of 111 test matches, and now they can't seem to field a decent team. Swings and roundabouts I guess...

Jason Dufner won the PGA. As the last major, I think it gets shortchanged anyway, but a guy no one really knows winning it makes it even more so.

US Open tennis coming up tho.

Watched the US Open (tennis) final. Djokovic played horribly. 50 unforced errors early in 4th set? Don't know what happened to him.

I watched the women's final on Sunday, and the wind was making a lot of shots go wide, long, etc. Maybe it affected Djokovic too.
