I'll second either (or both) of Vraith's Most Inspirational Watcher ideas, although they'll need to be better-phrased to be clear.

(I'm seconding these, because they near-on match with my Most Thought-Provoking Watcher proposal).
Newsflash: the word "irony" doesn't mean "a bit like iron"

Shockingly, some people have claimed that I'm egocentric... but hey, enough about them

Have you considered that all of your posts might be equally good, such that none could be named "best"? ;)

how can that have not already been a category???
Short answer: Our gracious moderator seems to be approaching Watchies as a start-from-zero proposition this year, now that her Watchy co-mod has stepped away from the Watch. This is not a rejection of any of the excellent historic categories for Watchies...she just wants to have them (as well as any new ones) grass-roots suggested and seconded. Makes sense in a way, as it keeps the list to those categories where people presumably have candidates in mind and prevents having categories where nobody gets nominated.
uh...

Wouldn't this be the same as "Newbie of the Year," which was listed as an automatic Watchy category? If not, explain the difference for voting purposes, please.

I don't want to tread on anyone's toes, but a couple of these look to me like they could be trimmed.

I say let the Punsters duke it out with the Funsters! Let the Inspirationalists smack it down with the Open Mindists, and let the thought provoking threads lead us to the Thought-Provoker!

There are 29 categories and I know from experience that trying to get nominations/votes in so many is hard work 8O

Your ideas are stupid. The only category that needs to be eliminated is the
"best attitude to different views" category. Some things are obvious and don't deserve awards, it's just how things are. I win that category beyond question, so humbly demand its elimination. I always have the best attitude toward different views. When they're good views, I say so, and that's the perfect attitude...when they're dumb views, I say so, and that's the perfect attitude.
One doesn't congratulate or reward water for being wet, I am what [and THAT[ I am, and therefore that award should be eliminated, and every other ussisssUSELESSimmieellll thought ignored.

I suggest the category: Best fruits of the vine.

the hyperbole is a beauty...for we are then allowed to say a little more than the truth...and language is more efficient when it goes beyond reality than when it stops short of it.

This may be his ploy, Menolly! Vraith knows that he has no chance of winning any sort of Watchy this year, so he wants to try and get one on the back of my exceptionally worthy efforts! :-x
