well Maxx is a homeless guy, i think. it is a convoluted story. D-Man from Captain America was homeless at some point. and i guess the Morlocks qualify as homeless.

So... many...

Most of my favorites were arcs within a series, like the original Phoenix/Dark Phoenix arc in the X-Men. I thought The Watchmen was pretty incredible, and also Love and Rockets, for completely different reasons.

If I had to pick one series at the point of a gun, I have a special place in my heart for the old Tomb of Dracula series by Marv Wolfman, Gene Colan and Tom Palmer. They kept the team together for the entire run, and the book acquired a unique tone and feel. It's the only series I've owned every issue of (twice!). (Where, oh where have all my comics gone?)

I also loved the Book of Sins arc in Doctor Strange, the one where they rid the Marvel Universe of all vampires. Guest starring Blade and Hannibal King! Inked by Steve Leialoha! Good times, man, good times.

Kevin Maguire, NOT Larson....you ought to know that, seeing as how you posted the cover to #1 in the f*cking Kevin Maguire thread. Erik Larson is nothing more than a poor man's Todd McFarland, and frankly, saying that is probably tatamount to insulting McFarland....sheesh, can you see that?

I'm glad to see we're all getting along. :D

Yes, the Nemesis backup run was great. The Huntress backup in WW was also great. Of course, the best backup ever was Manhunter! 8)

I don't dislike Larson; it's his artwork I'm not a fan of.

i find his writing way too over the top and juvenile.

the Korvac saga from Avengers was great, haven't seen it collected. and the Guardians of the Galaxy are always welcome.

the JLA around issue 200, a good mix of the big guns and the lesser lights. a highlight would be the origin of the Red Tornado. even Aquaman shined in that arc.

Best comic run? Incredible Hulk 1-6, Tales to Astonish 60-101, Incredible Hulk 102-474, and the current Hulk run, 1-present. I'm also a fan of Marvel Team-Up 53-54, Fantastic Four 166-167, Avengers 1-3, Daredevil 163, Spiderman 119-120, Iron Man 9, Most all of the Defenders......

The Arthur Adams runs on X-Men and New Mutants Annuals were fantastic - especially the Asgard stories!

Speaking of the Squadron Supreme, the current incarnation of it is pretty amazing. The 12-part Hyperion series that started it a couple years ago is one of my favorite comics ever.

Not sure if i have posted here before, but I am also too lazy to look.

Amazing Spiderman 189-200. Absolutely perfect in every way.

Avengers: Korvac War...I think 165-174? The only thing marring this run was the fact the George Perez was not the artist who drew the climatic fight!!!! WTF?!

X-Men: 125-137. Proteus/Hellfire Club/Dark Phoenix Saga. never equalled.

Batman: Year 1.

Something or other brought Grendel to my 19 yo son's attention. I loaned him Devil by the Deed. A couple days later, he texted: "Devil by the Deed" is fantastic. " Damn straight!

You mean his first appearance back in 1987 just after Legends before they transitioned from JLA to simply JL?
