Eggplant and Exmoor
ABC's of plants and moors? Really?
(it's kind of meta... it's like you're playing "change a letter" outside of change a letter..)
It took me some time (and seeing it near-juxtaposed with the other one) to get it!

"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor
"In spite of much that militates against quietness there are people who still read books. They are the people who keep me going."
-Elisabeth Elliot, Preface, "A Chance to Die: The Life and Legacy of Amy Carmichael"

I'm just Flabbergasted that this thread has hit a dead end like this.
At least I included an F since I find it difficult to find a Moor name that starts with one. I wanted to include the Fern-leaf Yarrow plant but seeing as how I couldn't find a Moor...

Dandelion don't tell no lies
Dandelion will make you wise
Tell me if she laughs or cries
Blow away dandelion
I'm afraid there's no denying
I'm just a dandelion
a fate I don't deserve.
