I question what Trump really wants ... everyone should take a closer look at their leaders and hold them accountable for their political promises.

His actions indicate he is embedding the military industrial complex not dismantling it in any conceivable or constructive way.

He wants what every President since World War II has wanted--for people to settle down, get jobs, pay their bills, and so on. You know, lead a regular life where you can marry the person you want, go to the church of your choice, drive the car you want to drive, etc.

What he does not want--what none of us should want--is a House of Representatives which has dedicated itself to taking down a person they see as illegitimate by any means necessary.

Yes, that does not remind me of the GOP during Obama's presidency at all.

True but cuz true funny ;) or ironic ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ either ways lols ๐Ÿ˜‚

I think Trump has shown he wants to consolidate his business interests and really doesnt give much consideration to what the average joe may or may not want.

I seem to recall Trump being as out of touch with what the ordinary person wants ... as most politicians ironically are. Ironic as they are supposed to be representative of the people.

Well it's ironic because Trump always claimed he was working for the average Joe, not the elites. But he himself was always an aristocrat at heart.

I guess you missed where before the Chinese virus that Trump had historic lows of unemployment among minorities.
Blacks. Hispanics. Women. Youth. Those without a hs diploma. Asians.. And veterans.
And bringing back manufacturing jobs at the highest level in 3 decades.
Obamacare individual mandate gone.
Signed right-to-try legislation.
6 billion to fight opioid epidemic.
Continuing reformation of the Veterans Administration.

Or we can just look at Trumps pre COVID economy ๐Ÿ˜‰

https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/www.blo ... presidents
.... economic growth under Trump before the pandemic ranks toward the back of the pack, ninth out of the past 12 presidents, 0.04 percentage points behind Dwight Eisenhower and 0.08 ahead of Trumpโ€™s predecessor Barack Obama.

Throw in the first quarter of this year with its first hints of pandemic damage โ€” a level of economic bad luck encountered by lots of other presidents โ€” and Trump falls to 10th, behind Obama.
So not brilliant ... even comparatively ... pretty ordinary at best.

Accounting for population disparities Trump fairs marginally better

This puts economic performance under Trump, and Obama, in a better light, with pre-pandemic Trump coming in fifth place out of 12 and Obama in seventh
Trumpers will be happy that under this criteria Trump beats Ovama but not by that much in reality.

But isnโ€™t THIS interesting:
Another striking takeaway from the chart is that of the 11 presidents who preceded Trump, the five with the worst per-capita growth records were all Republicans.
But to be fair luck can change everything.
I wouldnโ€™t make too much of this: As mentioned, luck plays a big role, and the partisan makeup of Congress probably does, too.
With COVID the state of play is significantly changed

Sky - so you are against record lows for unemployment for all the minorities I mentioned? And the current recovery has been slowed by Democrats determined that hurting Trump is more important than helping Americans.

The Republican-controlled House never launched investigations over nonsense or tried to impeach Obama. Those are considerable differences.

The Trump economy pre-corona was great; any indication otherwise is OMB-related denial of reality. If it had not been great then Democrats would not have spent most of 2019 wishing for a recession.

Well there was Benghazi. We knowvthe Obama administration lied about that st the outset. Blaming it on a video. Then Hilary asking what did it matter.

There was the fast and Furious. When Holder simply refused to cooperate with congress.

And the pallets of money to Iran in the middle if the night.

Or Hilary destroying her servers and phones. Destroying emails.

Or the Obama administration spying on Trump and paying a foreign operative for material to impeach Trump with.

Did you read the economic analysis? Itโ€™s not about being โ€œagainstโ€ anything itโ€™s about identifying elements of reality.

French at first. I was really young. I didn't know enough English so they stopped with the French.
