Winter in Combat, a reading by Stephen R. Donaldson...

Post by kaseryn »

It's arrived.. it's brilliant.. the cover art is awesome but too big to fit on my scanner.. i'll try to piece some scans together. I've ripped the LP and compressed to ogg format [good sound/compression and plays on winamp etc] ... and would like to make it available for everyone here.. so 2 things

1. Would that be cool? With the mods/creator here.. and with the man himself ?

2 If so, can anyone give me about 25MB of hosting to upload to.. as my webaccount only has enough room for the first part..

muchas gratias

It is! The man himself reading that moving account of Hamako and the Waynhim's battle with the Arghule/Croyel. I hadn't heard of it either until someone on the board recently mentioned it. I was lucky enough to find a copy quickly.. i'm not sure when it was recorded but the sleeve has a 1995 printdate. Anyway.. jsut working on the cover now.. daym i wish i was better with photoshop.. there must be an easier way to graft these bits together.. lol

Well how freakin' cool is that?!?! Thanks so much!!!

And though I can't copy and paste the words of the back cover, that first paragraph is sure along the lines of:
"It is said that he has mastered all skill and prowess that we desire, all restraint and calm, and has become perfection. Passion and mastery like unto the poised grandeur of mountains."
But where the heck's Hamako??? :?

Just a quick note on the copyright at the bottom of the back cover. If you can get them to give permission then I will happily supply the space :)
