Kyoto Animation burned to the ground
KyoAni studio, which was responsible for many popular animes such as Haruhi Suzumiya, Hyouka, Free!, Full Metal Panic, Hibike! Euphonium, K-on and others; has been destroyed in a mass arson attack by an individual claiming that they stole his ideas. Over 35 people have died with a similar number injured, out of a studio of 160 individuals. Japan's anime industry has lost some of its greatest and most innovative talent.
