They would prefer to rewrite the entire thing.

Some of them had wished for an end to the 22nd Amendment so Obama could run for a third term.

Despite her testimony to the contrary, Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch did know about Burisma, according to e-mail messages obtained via FOIA requests. The messages come to about 160 pages' worth of communication between Ms. Yavanovitch and U. S. Embassy officials about that corporation and that she met with a Burisma representative in the embassy in December 2016. In one e-mail it is even noted that Hunter was on the Board of Directors.

Recall: Joe had a Ukrainian prosecutor fired for investigating the founder of Burisma, the company who hired his son despite having no experience in that industry, most likely as part of a "pay to play" deal for access and influence. Recall, also, that Joe was running point in Ukraine for Obama. The working conspiracy theory is that Joe was funneling money into Ukraine to fight the Russians on the ground without getting into an actual public fight with Russia; this may or may not have had Obama's blessing--I presume it did not, akin to all the "plausible deniability" stuff that went on with Reagan.

Anyway, at the very least Yovanovitch made false statements while under oath, which could be viewed as perjury--note that this the same crime for which the FBI claims it nailed Flynn.

Once upon a time there was a website called--not kidding--"Obama Messiah". It was dedicated to posting pictures of Obama in various poses appearing as if he had some sort of halo around his head or "divine light" shining on him. It was full of articles about how great he was and how he was going to transform the United States into the Land of Promise it had always been meant to be.

Anyway....I notice we have not heard any more about Pelosi's "virus response inquiry" committee lately--I guess no one has the stomach for another failed impeachment attempt.

This is good news--Barr is not going to recommend any criminal charges relating to the unamsking of Flynn by Obama Administration officials. That would have been incredibly unwise because it would have opened the door to every future Administration beginning its term by investigating the previous Administration.

As part of their argument trying to get the SCOTUS to release the unredacted Mueller grand jury testimony, House Democrats admitted that they are engaged in another ongoing impeachment inquiry, looking for any evidence of impeachable offenses not covered by the two articles from last January, specifically looking for any improper use of political influence in regard to the recent developments in the Roger Stone and Michael Flynn cases.

Bottom line, this is just a continuation of the power struggle of the Legislative Branch--specifically the House of Representatives--against the Executive Branch. The House thinks it gets to oversee the Oval Office when, in reality, it does not have that authority. They are claiming that their preliminary impeachment inquiry constitutes a "pending judicial proceeding", but they are forgetting one small fact--the House is not a court and therefore no action it takes can be considered a "judicial proceeding".

I cannot wait for the SCOTUS to hand House Democrats another defeat--they can't enforce subpoenas and now they won't get the grand jury testimony, either. I also cannot believe they are doing this now, in late May, with the election barely 5 months away.

With Biden losing his grip on reality
And the Obama administration being
Unmasked as being corrupt, like we
Have been trying to tell everyone; the
Left is letting their future crash and burn.

The could lose the White House, Congress
And the Supreme Court this year. Good times.

What is the left's objection to hydroetc?
Seriously. I thought your side held the
Patent on believing in science? He has
A doctor prescribing a medicine that
Has been in use for some 70 years. If it
Was a problem med we would have known.

Never claimed Trump was pure. That would
Be the left with Obama. But Trump had turned
The economy into a roaring machine. He got
Part of his wall built. Slowed down illegals.
Got us extracted from pointless overseas conflicts.
Made NATO allies pay their shares. Got us out
Of the Oaris accords, the Iran deal and NAFTA.
Started on prison reform. Imagine what he could
Accomplish with the left attempting a coup?

Anyway....back to impeachment....

Bill Maher, no fan of Trump's, stated that he wishes that impeachment had not occurred last January because all that happened is that Trump got emboldened after his exoneration.

Currently, the only people who want to impeach Trump again are Pelosi, Schiff, and Nadler. Not even other Democrats want to go there a second time.

Oh...Sarge...the Democrats lost the SCOTUS when Trump got elected. I suspect that Thomas may retire during Trump's second term and it is unlikely Ginsberg will last another 4 years--I am not looking forward to her passing, just being realistic about it. Those circumstances would give Trump an truly unprecedented four nominees--that would be almost half the Court.

You and I are likely "not looking forward to Ginsberg's passing" for slightly different reasons. I suspect you don't want to see her go because her politics are similar to yours whereas I do not wish death on anyone. I will not be sorry to see her politics leave the Court.
