I wasn't sure I was going to like it until the end...but again the acting is top notch. By the end I got where they were going and I definitely am liking the commitment to story arcs across the entire crew.

I wonder
Spoiler
At what point the "watch" they highlighted at the end will come into play. Also, she left a loaded pistol in young Khans room. The writers so far have been very careful so I will be surprised if that also doesn't turn up as an issue that has to be solved.

Ep 4 was solid!! Really loving episodic Trek being back.
Spoiler
Would loved to have seen how they got back to the ship. That was my only critique

So the latest episode of SNW was not my favorite. I have disliked from the first the way they brought in T'Pring because in TOS the implication was that they had not seen each other since they were children.
I also dislike this pushing the Christine and Spock thing. She tried to hide it much more in TOS and he had no idea until the same Episode "Amok time", and he always called her Nurse Chapel except that one timeMCCOY: I wonder when his T'Pring arrives.
SPOCK: The marriage party approaches. I hear them.
KIRK: Marriage party? You said T'Pring was your wife.
SPOCK: By our parents' arrangement. A ceremony while we were but seven years of age. Less than a marriage but more than a betrothal. One touches the other in order to feel each other's thoughts. In this way our minds were locked together, so that at the proper time, we would both be drawn to Koon-ut-kal-if-fee.
Overall it doesn't make sense to me to try to sexualize Spock in the way they are doing. Its not killing the show for me, but I dislike that part of it, and everyone in the world should hear my eyes rolling when this comes up in the show.SPOCK: Miss Chapel.
CHAPEL: Yes, Mister Spock?
SPOCK: I had a most startling dream. You were trying to tell me something, but I couldn't hear you. It would be illogical for us to protest against our natures. Don't you think?
CHAPEL: I don't understand.
SPOCK: Your face is wet.
CHAPEL: I came to tell you that we are bound for Vulcan. We'll be there in just a few days.
SPOCK: Vulcan. Miss Chapel.
CHAPEL: My name is Christine.
SPOCK: Yes, I know, Christine. Would you make me some of that plomeek soup?
CHAPEL: Oh, I'd be very glad to do that, Mister Spock.

I don’t remember anything specific aside from what you wrote. But I don’t think that can only be interpreted as them not having CDH other since they were seven. Only that that’s when the ceremony took place.
But yes, they are taking things with Christine much farther than I think can be justified. I don’t think much of anything was gonna stop Christine and from getting what she wanted at the end of the episode. and I’m quite sure they never went that far.

I haven't seen the episode yet, but I think I'd be frustrated if there's some sort of mindmeld memory erase thing that happens in an upcoming episode to preserve canon...

I'm really starting to like Carol Kane's character to be honest. She's got a pretty deep sense of what's going on around her even though it's not obvious.

Omg! Love it! That was great!
“Damn! Damn! Damn!”
The tricorder is a TS 122!
“Well, in my defense, that thing has, like, zero instructions, you know?”
“I feel like he doesn’t listen.”
